Many years ago, I stumbled upon pocket coins and was instantly captivated by their charm. Initially, I was drawn to their gift potential, but soon realized that they were the perfect token of affection for the men I cared for. Most men don't wear bracelets or other jewelry, but everyone carries treasures in their pockets.

I gifted one such pocket coin to my father, who cherished it for years. He carried it so often that it became bent to the shape of his thumb, where he would rub it for comfort. When he passed away suddenly, I asked the funeral director for the prayer coin in his pocket. As the coin transferred from his pocket to my hand, I felt an overwhelming sense of connection. It was this small, meaningful token that inspired the birth of Knab Custom Designs.

I purchased several pocket coins for my family members and gave them as heartfelt gifts. This act of generosity reminded me of the biblical passage, "she gave what she had" (Mark 12:41-44). In this story, a poor widow offered two small copper coins to God - all she had - while the wealthy only gave their spare change. Jesus taught his disciples that it's not the amount of money given that matters, but the sacrifice made in the offering.
